Our Story
Teach for Liberation is an education consulting and professional development firm that provides customized training and materials for schools, non-profit organizations, and corporate entities. Training programs created by Teach for Liberation aim to address the need for in-depth anti-bias work in these spaces, examine their policies and practices, and develop an environment of support, ongoing learning, and growth. Teach for Liberation is committed to authentic and intentional conversations in our workshops that aim to address the existence of ongoing interconnected oppressions in our world today.
Founded by two educators, Sana Ben Nacef and Luma Hasan recognized that both higher education and educational training services lack a space for authentic anti-bias work. Teach for Liberation is a dynamic consulting firm that seeks to fill the gaps in anti-bias training specifically around historical and sociological context, relationships, and identity. Through in-person and/or virtual trainings, clients can expect to have a fully customized experience based on diagnostic surveys, feedback, and projected areas of growth. We strive to create space for brave conversations that will empower your organization and staff.
