About Me

Sana Ben Nacef-Virgone is an accomplished educator, professional, and curriculum developer, artist, activist, and mother. Since the start of her teaching career, Sana has centered her every move around advocacy and the amplification of student voices. Sana has developed professional programming around ESL co-teaching, student advocacy, data collection in the Social Studies classrooms, civic engagement and activism, among many others. She also has been selectively chosen to develop, modify, and implement curriculum that incorporates diverse peoples and governing structures, and examines a more full narrative of history by centering BIPOCx voices. Most recently, Sana has developed a unique anti-Bias, anti-Racist learning collective to explore personal, professional, instructional, and systemic inequities that impact the educational experience for students and adults, alike. During her rest time, Sana is a plant-collector, homebody, and artist.
